Working Together

"Begin anywhere." – John Cage

Many people reach out with a sense of what they're looking for but find it difficult to put it in words. There's a good reason for that. There is a whole interconnected universe inside of you — this thing is related to that thing, which is affected by this dynamic with that person… before long, you've lost the thread, or feel left with desire for change but no direction.

In coaching, we enter through what’s bubbling at the surface to discover the energies moving underneath and what it may be suggesting. There is no beginning or end — only points of entry, a direction to follow, and a path to walk. I shine the flashlight, you lead the way. We are looking not to target, solve or fix what we come across, but to see through eyes of loving attention. Sessions are spaces to invite in new sensations and insights, and to design supportive actions as a way to introduce change in your daily life.

My style of coaching is warm, intuitive and practical. I see the whole person in front of me and listen for what you wish to bring into your life. I am interested in how you see yourself, what shapes your beliefs, personal narratives, and ways you relate to others. As an Asian-American growing up in different parts of the world, I am familiar with the challenges of inherited and internalized cultural identities, and I hold them with sensitivity and respect.

I received my coaching certification from the Co-Active Training Institute (CTI) in 2020. My approach incorporates techniques synthesized from workshops which accelerated my own healing and growth (e.g., The Hoffman Process, The Diamond Approach). My training in some less common practices also shapes the way I work as a coach:

  • Embodied imagination. Working experientially with subconscious material — dreams, visions and imagery — to uncover hidden meanings and consciously anchor supportive resources in the body.

  • Chinese Polestar astrology (紫微斗数 / Zi Wei Dou Shu). I read natal charts which reveal one’s life fate patterns, innate character, and opportunities for fate resolution in this lifetime.

My eclectic approach isn’t for everyone, but I have found working creatively across multiples planes and modalities to be useful for my clients in their journey of self-discovery and change.

Let’s talk to find out what kind of support you’re looking for, and if I’m the right person to help.

From my clients

“Evo has the gift and ability to see into your essence — an ability that guides and contains the work from beginning to end. I worked with her while crafting the next phase of my life, needing something outside my customary avenues. Evo is insightful, creative, and visionary. I have a newfound focus and trust in my own power to succeed.”

— Dr. K. Lawson, Founder of Awake in the Dream

“Evo's superpower is cutting through complexity and avoidance to reveal deeper meaning in whatever challenge I'm facing. The direction I find is always rooted in me, not in her opinions. I come away feeling powerful and in tune with myself.”

— Garrett, Psychotherapist and Author

“Working with Evo has been transformative. She helped me make bold decisions with clarity and confidence I didn’t realize I had. The visualizations from our sessions are still so vivid I can feel them in my body and use them whenever I need direction. Work with her saved me from a costly detour and led me to my calling in medicine."

— Eunice I., Medical resident

“I was an unhappy data analyst when we started and today, I am an actor and director. My sessions with Evo awakened the core of my being, and gave me the courage to pursue my creative passions. I have transformed my relationships, my career, and the way I fundamentally live my life. Her guidance and insights are remarkably accurate. She helped set me on my path and I’m achieving things I never dreamed were possible."

— Natalie N., Actor and Film Director

“I apply the skills I've learned from working with Evo all the time. It’s helped me advance my career and be confident in my own style of leadership. Her coaching blends Eastern understandings with Western contexts, allowing me to be fully seen. I always came away from our sessions inspired and opened in unexpected ways. ”
