What is Chinese Astrology?
Chinese Astrology is not fortune-telling, it does not cast predictions upon your future. Where Western astrology tends to focus more on individual personality, Chinese astrology looks instead at the structural nature of your fate —the conditions, quality, and movement of qi cycling through your life in predictable patterns.
In a reading, we go through the major qi energies (stars) within the 12 life domains (palaces). We see the places and ways you are naturally supported, where things tend to pressurize, and where you have the greatest opportunities for resolving fate in this lifetime.
Most people walk away feeling deeply seen and strangely relieved with a sense of guidance completely personalized to them. It’s like having a map, compass and weather system in one, enabling you to navigate the terrain of your life more skillfully.
A reading can also simply be a welcome reset — a way to see your present situation from a completely different vantage point. That alone may be all that’s needed to shift out of patterned loops and awaken into the life that you are already living.

This is the starting point. We spend 90 minutes together reviewing the foundation of your natal chart — your inner qi character and the major stars in each of your 12 palaces. Meetings can be in-person if you’re local (San Francisco), or via zoom. You will receive your chart and a recording if desired.

I offer this option for people who want more time to digest their reading. Beyond the initial 90m reading, you have two 45m follow-up sessions to use whenever you want. These sessions allow time for natural shifts to happen after your reading and offer support in working with your chart in daily life.

This reading builds off your natal chart by adding layers of the time dimension. I look at patterns in the larger decade cycle you're in, as well as those of the current year. Progression readings consider what life is asking you to learn and help situate the stronger dynamics you may be experiencing in the larger arc of your life.

Readings often shift things by broadening perspectives, deepening insight, and inviting new questions.
I offer ongoing coaching support to clients who have received a reading from me and wish to use their chart as a through-line for personal work.
We meet regularly at an interval of your choosing, using your chart for reference and guidance to relate to any present situations you are grappling with. While your chart provides a framework, I draw upon all coaching tools in my practice to serve you and your needs.
